Dot NET Domains
When the .NET generic top-level domain name extension was initially established in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the web, it was supposed to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. In view of the fact that there were no special conditions about the usage of the TLD, though, dot NET domains were booked and used for diverse purposes and by a lot of people. This domain extension is a great alternative to .COM, particularly if the desired domain with the latter extension is not available for registration.
Ordering a .NET domain with our firm is as easy as 1-2-3 and takes merely a couple of minutes, in view of the fact that we partner with an ICANN-accredited registrar company. You can reserve such a domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already own a domain, you can transfer it to our firm and we will renew it once the transfer process is done. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least sixty days old, provided that they are not locked and that you have received an EPP transfer authorization key – security measures established by the .NET Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily modify the WHOIS contact details of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you don’t want this info to be accessible at all, you can buy a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to get your actual contact details.
The dot NET extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision if you want to target a specific country or region using a domain name in the local language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
